Edge of the Night.
Heavy clouds opressed the MacKenzie Basin all day today. When they finally broke towards sunset, the location I'd chosen was about 30 km too far north to properly catch the break.
I scooted south to this place that I've been meaning to shoot for months, rushed the whole thing, and messed up most of the shots in the process.
Here's the rule: When you're under pressure from fading light, work quickly, but accurately. Remember the basics, and double check them, because you don't have time to realise in 10 minutes that you skipped something obvious!
I am happy with this capture, but I do wish I'd better images from the first moments when I arrived, when the light was peaking.
Instead, my best shot comes from the tail end of the shoot, from the Edge of the Night.
