It’s pretty rare for Lake Pukaki to be dead calm. I’ve only seen it totally still during spring, when the prevailing winds take a rest from pushing over the Southern Alps and down the lake.
So it was a special treat to see a nice sunset mixed into the calm.
After I captured this shot I put my camera down and for a few minutes, I was at one with the lake under the mountains; under the sky. At one, and At Peace.
